Welcome to the University of Maryland Cooperative Extension Service Green Industry Web Site. This Web Site is a cooperative effort among regional specialists and extension educators, and it is maintained through the Central Maryland Research and Education Center. This Web Site is designed to help commercial horticulturists, IPM scouts and other experienced plant handlers involved with nursery, greenhouse and landscape management. The information contained at this site will help growers and plant managers correctly identify and address problems with diseases, insects, mites, and fertility management.

Maintaining high quality plant material involves carefully and routinely observing plants and looking for early signs of infestation or problems with plant material. Correctly diagnosing the problem is also key to an TPM/IPM plant management approach. We regularly update information on our nursery, greenhouse and landscape IPM sections to help growers recognize problems that are currently occuring in Maryland.
